Speaking today, AJ Cahill of the Irish People’s Party and Galway West by-election candidate said:

Bertie Ahern’s comments were brutally honest, not racist. While canvassing in Dublin Central, he admitted Ireland has taken in “too many” immigrants overall. He made clear that some cultures integrate more successfully than others — a proven reality we ignore at our peril. By dismissing these concerns, we are repeating the mistakes of other EU countries and building a nightmare for future generations.

These views clearly reflect the majority of Fianna Fáil’s traditional voter base and the broader Irish public. Polls have consistently shown that most citizens regard current immigration levels as unsustainable.

The data backs him: Danish government data and Dutch research alone validates Bertie Ahern’s concerns. Non-Western groups as a whole continue to cost Denmark and the Netherlands billions net every year due to lower employment, higher welfare use, and integration failures. Ireland is shaping up for the same future.

There is no place for suppressing these honest conversations. Political intimidation must not silence the Irish people. Dr. Ebun Joseph’s demand that Ahern undergo anti-racism “retraining” for wrong-think shows that she is unfit to serve as Ireland’s Special Rapporteur on Racial Equality and Racism. She should be removed immediately. Given her repeated pattern of framing legitimate Irish concerns as racism, serious consideration should also be given to having people like her denaturalised and deported. Ireland’s people have every right to honest debate about their country’s future. Diversity is not a strength — unity is. Enough with the thought crime.”

The carrot lures best those with no vim for gardening, but the stick comes for all who even do.
